Sencha Okumidori 2020
A single field, single cultivar Sencha tea grown by Mr Yuki on the Dosenbo plateau at 500m. This gorgeous sencha, grown traditionally in full sunlight, abounds with sweet plum blossom aroma from the dry leaf. When brewed it displays great balance between savoury at the back of the tongue and a lighter, fresher sweetnes that fills the rest of the palate; a mixture of herbal, floral and sweeter tones. Offering a diversity of flavour with different brewing temperature and a longevity of steeps, this is an excellent quality and distinctive sencha for fans of the style. Full bodied, velvety smooth, and no bitterness.
Teapot: Add 8g of tea to 600ml of water at 80C. Steep for 3-4 minutes and enjoy.
Gongfu: Add 8g of tea to brewing vessel. Infuse for short infusions of 10 seconds with water at 70C, raising to 80C on further steeps.
