Bi Luo Chun
A classic Chinese green tea, Bi Luo Chun translates literally as 'green snail spring', which referes to the shape of its small coiled leaves and buds and the time it's harvested. Biluochun originates on Dong Ting mountain, Jiangsu Province, but our variety is from the Wuyi mountains of Fujian.
This tea is extremely fresh tasting, with a dewy green sweetness and a slight creamy texture. The dry leaves have a plump floral aroma, while the liquor is lighly vegetal taste. The wet leaves release a fresh bamboo aroma and the aftertaste and mouthfeel remain sweet and full.
Best brewed with mulitple shirt infusions in a gaiwan, gongfu style. A teapot can of course also do it justice as one of China's greatest green teas.
